How to see if someone has multiple Instagram accounts?
First, let’s be honest there is no direct way to know see if someone has more than one account on Instagram for certain. Instagram doesn’t show its users the multiple accounts that belong to a another person. However, there are some hacks that I’ll show you and you can try, however, they are not 100 % guaranteed.
Look for Instagram suggested friends
The Instagram algorithm shows us the people that it thinks we may know. So if the people that you are eager to know about their other accounts have signed up with a phone number that you have saved in your contact list, then there is a great chance to know their other accounts as well.
Sometimes Instagram suggests to us the people that we may know, but sometimes it doesn’t. So if it doesn’t suggest to us the people and friends that we may know, then we need to search for them manually. I’ll show you how to do that here.
- Open up Instagram and at the bottom right corner go to your profile.
- Now in the upper right corner, there is a three-line icon go ahead and hit that.
- Hit Settings.
- Then go ahead and hit Follow and invite friend. (Know that Instagram is instantly updating its app, so by the time you read this tutorial, this feature may have already been changed a little, but it will be there somewhere.)
- Now hit Follow contacts.
- And then go ahead and hit Allow access.
- Now hit Follow contacts again. This time Instagram will show you all the people whom you may already know. Also, people that you saved their phone numbers on your device will be shown here. So carefully search among those suggested people and see which one has multiple accounts.
- Link your Facebook and Instagram accounts together
This also can help you to know if someone you are acquainted with has more than one account. However, it’ll help you only if the people that you want to know about their other accounts have already linked their Facebook and Instagram accounts. You also need to link your Instagram and Facebook accounts first.
So here I’ll walk you through some simple steps and show you how to link your Instagram and Facebook accounts and then hopefully find out about multiple accounts that belong to the same person.
- Go through the same procedure that I’ve shown you in the previous section.
- This time instead of searching for people that Instagram suggests to you, on the top of the screen go ahead and hit Connect to Facebook.
- Now simply log in to your Facebook account through the Instagram app. Once you’ve done, both your Instagram and Facebook accounts will be linked.
- Now Instagram will show you all your Facebook friends that have already linked their Instagram and Facebook accounts.
- The chances are that you might be able to find different accounts that belong to the same person.
Use a third app party
There are different websites you can try and hopefully find out about multiple accounts that belong to the same person. However, these websites are not free. Here I’ll show you two of them

- You can search for the person through their name, image, address, username, phone, and so on.
- Based on the option you choose, you need to type the name, phone, email address, and so forth.

- You can choose whatever country the person lives in.
- Keep in mind that you can gain a lot of information related to the person that you search for. Their Instagram accounts are only one of them.
As you see this website provides you with many options, so if you are eager to find out about a person and pay some money, then give it a go.

Through this website, you can also search for a person via their name, email, phone, and address. But this website does not seem to be as good as the previous one.

As you see in the photo there is an option called Social. Through this option, you can find out about all the social media related to the person that you search for his or her name.
Like the previous website, this one also provides you with a lot of information more than simply social media.
Read their bio
This only works if the people that you are interested to know their other account has already put the address to their accounts on bio.
Use the Instagram search bar
This however works if a person has different accounts and his accounts have a similar name to what you search for. Also, when you search for famous people or famous personal brands or the name of an important company then chances are you’ll likely find different accounts that belong to the same brand, company, or whatever that is.
Do a reverse image search for Instagram
Through this simple yet useful method, you can find out if the person has more than one account. However, this only works if the person has used a photo for his other accounts.
- Open Instagram in a Chrome Browser on your computer.
- Then go to the person profile.
- Right-click on his or her profile photo.
- Now click on Search image with Google Lens.
- Now you can drag over the photo like what you see in the photo.
- After you’ve done that, photos that match this one from everywhere including Instagram will show up.
- You can also do this on different photos of the person from his post and so on.

There is no guaranteed method to try and know if a person has multiple accounts on Instagram. But there are some hacks we can try and find out if indeed someone has multiple accounts.
