WhatsApp is one of the best user-friendly apps compared tosome other similar ones. However, like other social apps, WhatsApp sometimes causes disturbing issues like when it doesn’t send us the verification code. Having said that, fixing issues related to WhatsApp has been always easy.

In this article, I’m going to provide you with some solutions that’ll hopefully help you receive the verification code.

Why WhatsApp not sending a verification code?

Since WhatsApp is kind of a user-friendly app, you’ll rarely face issues while using it. That being said, it doesn’t necessarily mean you won’t ever run into a problem on WhatsApp.

If you aren’t receiving the verification code, there is nothing to worry about. There is probably a minor bug, or connection problem, etc. Whatever the reason may be, I think you can readily fix it.

Some of the reasons for not receiving the verification code that comes to my mind are as follows:

• Your internet connection is not stable

• You’re running out of storage

• You are traveling

• The app is outdated

• There is a technical problem with WhatsApp

• You’ve requested the code too many times

• Something is wrong with your phone number, etc.

Before you take any action, it’s better to wait sometime, so give it one hour or so and try again later. But if the problem persists one of the methods below will hopefully help you fix the issue and get the verification code.

How to fix WhatsApp “verification code not received”?

Fix #1Double-check yourinternet connection

The first thing to do is to ensure that you have a stable internet connection. In most cases, you’re not receiving the verification code simply because something is wrong with your internet connectivity.

Fix #2Double-check your phone number

A problem with your phone number whether it be a typo or a space in between your number is the second most common reason. So make sure you have entered your phone number correctly, and that there is no space in between your phone number. Also, make sure you have correctly chosen your country’s calling code.

Fix # 3 Wait a little longer

If you request the WhatsApp SMS code too many times then you may not receive it for a few minutes to even hours. So wait a little longer before you request again.

Fix #4Free up storage on your phone

Make sure there is enough storage on your phone. If your device is running low on storage space, then this can cause issues. Checking your phone and making sure it has enough storage is a good idea. A similar issue happened to me a few years back and just by freeing up some space my problem was solved.

In order to make sure that you have free space on your phone, and there is nothing wrong with your device, you can send an SMS to your phone from another phone.

Fix # 5 Use Call me option

If you’re not receiving the verification code via SMS, why don’t you selectCall meoption instead? While you’re trying to receive the WhatsApp verification code, choose Call me, and you will likely receive an automatic phone call from WhatsApp along with the code as well.

Fix#6Otherways to fix

Here is a list of some quick fixes that might be also helpful.

• Use a different phone number

• Delete the app and install the latest version

• Enableroamingfrom your device settings if you are traveling

• Switch between two different internet connection

• Put your phone in airplane mode and try again

• Use a VPN before you request a verification code

Fix#7ContactWhatsApp support

If you’ve tried all the fixes, but you’re still not able to receive the verification code, then reaching out to the WhatsApp support team sounds like a good idea. You can describe your problem to WhatsApp support, and here is how you do it:

• While you’re still in the app, tap the three-dot icon at the top of the screen

• Taphelpand chooseThis doesn’t answer my questionoption

• Then you can describe your problem, In your case, you should talk about the WhatsApp verification code that is not being sent to you
