See YouTube subscribers on Your Phone

You cannot see the sub count on your Android or iOS app. But here’s a workaround.

  1. Open your preferred browser on your phone.
  2. Go to (It has to be opened in a browser tab).
  3. Select the three dots on the top-right corner if you are using Chrome and ‘Options’ on Safari.
  4. Select ‘Desktop Site.’
  5. Now, go to Studio from your channel.
  6. Select the Recent subscribers’ card in the Dashboard.
  7. Choose ‘See all’ to review all your subs.

Note: YT has no actual options to check your channel stats on your smartphone. So, this is not an official method. Be aware that using the Desktop Site on a mobile browser might not be a smooth experience.

What if You Don’t See the Recent Subscribers Card?

Channels with 0 subs will NOT see the Recent Subscribers Card on their Studio Dashboard. That’s why you cannot access this section.

If you’re sure that you have gained real subs in the past 28 days, but the card is still invisible, consider troubleshooting your problem. There might be a bug or internal issue with your account—although it’s pretty rare.

Other Ways to See YouTube Subscribers

Using the Recent Sub Card is not the only way of reviewing accounts that follow your content. The Studio has several other features to let you check your stats.

#1. Directly from your channel.

Open your channel in the YouTube app or on a web browser. Then, click on your profile picture on the top-right corner and select ‘Your Channel.’ It’ll open a new tab where you can see your subscriber count under your username and next to your picture.

#2. YouTube Analytics in the Studio.

If you want to check the details of your sub-stats, go to YouTube Studio and proceed to the ‘Analytics’ section on the left sidebar. Under the ‘Overview’ tab, click on ‘Subscribers.’ Now, click on the dropdown menu on the top-right corner and choose ‘Lifetime.’ This will provide you with informative data about your channel subscribers.

Pro Tip: If you are looking for demographic information, click on ‘SEE MORE.’

#3. Dashboard count.

The easiest way to see your subs is by going to Studio and selecting Dashboard from the left sidebar. You’ll see a card that says ‘Current subscribers.’ It shows how many users are following your content at this time.

#4. Live count.

Go to YouTube Studios > Analytics. Here, you’ll see a card on the right side that says, ‘Realtime.’ The ‘Subscribers’ section on this card shows how many new subs you are gaining right now. You can select SEE LIVE COUNT and put the date dropdown menu on Lifetime to review every sub you’ve acquired so far.

3 Reasons You Can’t See YouTube subscribers

YouTubers care about every sub they earn because it takes a lot of effort. But sometimes, they see a couple of missing accounts from their channel for no apparent reason. Assuming that you are sure the accounts did not Unsubscribe you on purpose, here are the reasons why they’re missing from your sub count.

1- The user’s subscriptions are private.

If users have made their subscriptions public, you can see their name and PFP on your channel stats. However, YT gives the option to the viewers to keep that information private. If they use this feature, you’ll not see their profile on the Recent Subscribers Card.

2- The account is spammy.

YT is constantly monitoring the platform to keep it spam-free and safe. So, users that are declared spammy might get removed or suspended. Once that happens, all their subscriptions will be removed, too. So, if the spammy account was one of your subs, you’ll not see their name on your Recent Subscribers Card as soon as they’re banned.

3- The user unsubscribed accidentally.

According to the YouTube Support team, “Some viewers [unsubscribe] from channels by accident.” So, your missing subs might be because of an unwanted action taken by the users themselves. YT has added a confirmation pop-up to make sure such accidents don’t happen too often, though.

How to Hide Your YT Subscriber Count So No One Can See Them

As a YouTuber, you might want to keep your sub count private, so your viewers can focus on the content. Fortunately, that’s an available option. Here’s how to use it:

  1. Open YouTube on a browser and log in to your profile/channel.
  2. Click on your picture in the top-right corner.
  3. Choose ‘YouTube Studio.’
  4. Go to Settings on the left sidebar and select ‘Channel.’
  5. Choose ‘Advanced settings’ from the top navigation bar.
  6. Uncheck Subscriber count.

Tip: It’s usually a good idea to hide your sub count until you hit the 1,000 subscribers milestone. However, make sure to keep it public after that so new fans can trust your content and channel validity.

You Can Hide Your Subscriptions too

As a content creator, you might also want to consume other YouTubers’ content. But your fans don’t need to know what you’re watching and who your favorite creators are. That’s why YT gives you the option to keep your subscriptions private. Here’s how to activate it:

  1. Open YouTube on a browser.
  2. Click on your Profile and select Settings under ‘Location.’
  3. Go to the Privacy section on the left sidebar.
  4. Toggle ‘Keep all my subscriptions private.’

Note: this option is active by default, and you don’t have to do anything if you haven’t made it public before.

Why Your Sub Count Does Not Change While People Subscribe to Your Channel?

YouTube stops showing individual subs on your channel once you hit 1,000 subscribers. It’ll only update the numbers every time you get at least 100 new subs. Once you are over 100,000, you’ll need to acquire 1,000 new subscribers for YT to update the sub count.

If you are lucky enough to hit the 1,000,000 milestones, your sub count will be updated every time you get 10,000 new fans. Meanwhile, if you need YouTube views you can check out the mentioned link.

  1. I have tried all of your steps and still can’t see my subscribers. The reason is, I don’t even have a recent subscribers tab. Any help on why that might be? Is there a period of time after your first subscriber before the tab becomes available for viewing?
