Generally speaking, it’s not possible to find a person’s IP address simply by a phone number. The phone number and IP address are two completely different things. Also, a person can easily change his device’s IP address with a VPN, IP changer, etc.
That being said there are still some hacks you can try to get someone’s IP address or track their location. So that’s what I’m going to cover here, and hopefully, by the end of this article, you’ll know some ways about how to find someone’s IP address and track their location.
Can you find someone’s IP address by their phone number?
No, unfortunately, you can’t do that through a phone number. But that doesn’t necessarily mean you won’t be able to get someone’s IP address or find their location.
How to find someone’s IP address?
There are different methods you can try to find someone’s IP address and then not only track their location but also find some information about them. Here I’ll show you 3 different ways that’ll help you with that.
#1 Use IP Lookup Tools/ websites
By using one of the following website and their tools, you can get some information, like a person’s current location, IP address, name, and even in some cases their email address, etc.
Just keep in mind that usually, the following website won’t let you track a phone number more than once or twice. So to check any phone numbers many times, you need to go premium. To use some of their advanced tools you also need to pay a monthly fee.
Truecaller
When it comes to finding someone’s location, IP address, etc. Trucaller provides its users with some awesome services like no other. Using this website is so simple and some of its features are as follows:
- On their database, they store extensive data related to landlines, company, and personal phone numbers
- The website will show you the location of a person through the person’s phone number
- It will show you the email address attached to the phone number, etc.
- You can use their services from anywhere in the world
SynMe
Using this site is the same as the previous one, but the number of times you can use their services for free might be different.
- In order to search for a number, make sure to carefully add the country calling code before the main number
- It will give you some information about the person’s location, etc., but they may not be exact or in detail
- You can use their services from anywhere
Istaunch
This one may not provide you with the same service as the previous ones, however, you don’t need to pay any money whatsoever. You can check their website to track a phone number and hopefully get a person’s IP address. The only thing you need to do is put a number in the box and push enter or tap SUBMIT.
CallerID
You can apply the same method to use this website because they all kind of work the same, but if you don’t live in the United States, you won’t be able to use the services on this website. Some of this website’s features are
- It will show you information such as the phone provider, the State where the owner of the phone number lives, the registration place, etc.
- It only works in the US
ThatsThem
The last one on the list which in my opinion is also one of the best websites to find a person’s IP address is that’s them. By using this website you can get the following information.
- It will show you a person’s IP address, home address, email address, etc.
- You can use their services for free
- It is only available in the US
#2 Use Python to find someone’s IP address
Now if you want to take this to the next level and go through all the hassle and hopefully find any person’s IP address, this method might be helpful as well.
Since covering all the steps in detail to find someone’s IP address through this particular method requires too much explanation, I will only explain to you some basic stuff you need to know. - You need to create a Python Project file
- In that file, you need to create two separate Python files.
- In one of them, you need to write the phone number you want to track
- In the other one, you need to declare too many variables and write some codes down.
